Posted Trick-or-Treating Hours

According to the Journal & Courier, “Halloween will be observed on October 31st, 2018… Both Lafayette, IN and West Lafayette, IN do not have set trick-or-treating hours.” So, if you’re going to stay home and welcome trick-or-treat-ers, then just turn your light on when you’re ready to welcome kids and off when the candy is gone! Participants can discern when its time to quit by porch lights being off. It’s the good ol’ fashioned way!

However, other surrounding cities do have set hours! Here is some information on the trick-or-treating in the neighboring cities and counties:

  • “Surrounding areas like Battle Ground, Delphi and Crawfordsville among others have set individual Halloween hours somewhere between 5 p.m. and 9 p.m [on October 31st, 2018].”
  • “Trick-or-treat hours have been announced for the all towns and communities in and around Clinton County on Wednesday, October 31. They are as follows:
    • Colfax (6-8 p.m.),
    • Delphi (6-8:30 p.m.),
    • Elwood (6-9 p.m.),
    • Frankfort (5-8:30 p.m.),
    • Kirklin (6-8 p.m.),
    • Kokomo (6-8 p.m.),
    • Michigantown (6-8 p.m.),
    • Mulberry (5-8 p.m.),
    • Rossville (6-8 p.m.),
    • Sheridan (6:30-8:30 p.m.)
    • Zionsville (5:30-8:30 p.m.).”‘
  • Monticello, IN, as a city, celebrated their Halloween on October 27th.
  • Attica, IN, also as a city, did trick-or-treating on October 27th.
