Spotlight on The Bryant Food and Drink Company

The Romanski Group is proud to welcome this new restaurant, The Bryant, to our list of favorite Lafayette, IN dining options.

About The Bryant

Friends to the Lafayette, IN community, the Christodoulakis family, have opened another restaurant. Another, you ask? Yes! The owners of this new restaurant, The Bryant, also own and operate both locations of Christos New City Grill (Lafayette & West Lafayette), Red Seven (Lafayette), and Cafe Literato (West Lafayette).

The name “The Bryant” packs a rich historical punch. It’s a tribute to the Morris Byrant. Here is what one of the owners said to the Journal and Courier about the name:

“Christos said he and his siblings believed it would be appropriate to have the name come back. It is taken from the Morris Bryant Smorgasbord, the Swedish restaurant which burned in April 1994. The remains were leveled by a tornado shortly afterward.
‘We always wanted another restaurant in West Lafayette. We felt like there was a little bit of a gap in some of the offerings,’ Christos said. ‘(The Morris Bryant) was a well known restaurant, it had a good reputation after being in the community for many, many years, so we thought it would be interesting to bring the name back.'”

The brand new building is unique, but it also displays some token similarities to the other restaurants owned by the Christodoulakis family. We love seeing their style in the new place! The local architecture design company, KJG, designed this building. The interior is industrial and modern, displaying beautiful white bricks with concrete and natural wood. There are many fun spots to the decor such as kegs used to decorate the bar area, 4 split screens for watching games, a beautiful outdoor patio, and sleek, contemporary sink/hand dryer combos in the bathrooms! You’ll “ooh” and “ahh” at all the lovely design.

The Bryant Burger is a mix of brisket and short rib in the patty. Topped with onion straws, bacon, cheese, dijonnaise, tomato, onion, pickle, and lettuce! All on a pretzel bun!

Food at The Bryant

The Fat Elvis! Banana milkshake, vanilla rim, topped with Reese Pieces, Reese Cups, caramel, and whipped cream!

Let’s talk menu. It ranges from salads to thick cut rib-eye with everything in between. Classic favorites such as burgers have a slight twist to the recipe with the patty made out of short rib and brisket or the lamb burger with cucumber sauce. And the milkshakes.. don’t even get us started! We don’t even fell comfortable classifying this as a milkshake. It is more like an entire trip to the ice cream parlor. See for yourself…

Other menu items include Mahi Mahi, “French” fries aka poutine, and donut holes. These food options are classic but unique. You won’t be disappointed with the menu options!

The bar also has a plenty of seating to watch the game! Bring your party here for the next Purdue game and enjoy one of their twelve on tap Indiana beers!
