As you know, Purdue University, in our very own West Lafayette, sends graduates of all shapes and forms throughout the United States into their field of expertise. It is know for delivering quality education, teaching well- rounded life and problem solving skills, and shaping each student to utilize their skill set in the best way imaginable. Purdue University’s College of Aviation and Transportation Technology is no exception. Saturday, April 14th from 11:00 A.M. – 4:00 P.M. the airport is open to the public for Aviation Day.

Purdue’s airport is located just Southwest of West Lafayette along US 231. Click here for directions!

 

Here’s how the website describes the event:

Purdue Aviation Day (PAD) is an open access event welcome to community members, prospective students, industry partners, and aviation enthusiasts alike. The event focuses on sharing the passion of aviation through static aircraft displays, educational events, historic displays, guest speakers, and children’s activities. What makes this event special is that it is planned and executed entirely by student leaders within the School of Aviation & Transportation!”

 

Aircraft Show and Tell:

Purdue University’s Aviation Day will feature a hand full of air crafts for people to see from all angles. Guests will be able to see the entire air craft from control panels to the under carriages! There are military, civilian, and unmanned air crafts available to tour.  Click here to see an entire list of air crafts in the show.
