From their name, you deduce that they have candies here, but this business is so much more. It’s one of the oldest businesses in Greater Lafayette, IN, starting in 1912, and it’s part of tradition! They serve lunch sandwiches, phosphates (homemade sodas), candy canes (see below for tour information), chocolates, gift boxes, gummies, and more! This shop is a must see, especially during the holidays. Still looking for the perfect gift? McCord Candies has gift boxes available with their in house recipes! Candy Cane Tours We can’t mention this storefront without noting its specialty. McCord Candies is infamous for its candy canes! And what perfect timing! It’s candy cane season! McCord Candies offers candy cane tours in the store. The employees will lead you up the staircase to the second floor, and before your eyes, make candy canes, giving you the inside scoop. They spread out the sugar, melt the goods in a copper pot, and then give you an opportunity to mold your very own candy cane into whatever you want!
