Employee Appreciation Day is March 2nd, 2018. Therefore, we’ve narrowed down a few ideas to help you encourage your employees. These ideas are geared toward a smaller business setting with personal relationships with each employee. If you own or are involved with a large corporation, you might think these don’t apply. The reality is, however, that within each larger company there are different small groups under the management hierarchy. Each manager or supervisor is generally over a group of 5 – 20 people, enabling these ideas to work within each level!
Ways to say, “Thank You!”
- Personalized notes and gifts are a great way to let an employee know you value them. Nothing says thank you like a good ol’ fishing lure if you’re a big fisherman! So, the gifts can be small, but the thought goes a long way!
- Cater in lunch or buy everyone a coffee. Who doesn’t like free food or free coffee? You are set for success in employee production if your babies are fed and caffeinated.
- Invest in their lives outside of work. Your star employees love working for you, but studies show that their production will increase if they take personal time through the year. Movie tickets, gift card to Chipotle, or an indoor rock climbing day pass are all ways to send them into a recharging play time.
- Group activities for team building. Minute to win it games are always fun, and they’re a guaranteed laugh. If your team is all females, you can take them to get a manicure. Forming the group is a great way to benefit team work.
The number one reason employees leave a company is because they feel under appreciated. These three things can help your employees feel value on a daily basis.
- Professional reputation.
